2020 colour of the year

Pantone’s Colour of the Year has influenced all sorts of industries each year for more tha 20 years. It is a meticulous process that takes the colour experts all over the world to find new colour influences and trends. This year, they have announced 'Classic Blue' as their colour of the year.

"We are living in a time that requires trust and faith. It is this kind of constancy and confidence that is expressed by PANTONE 19-4052 Classic Blue, a solid and dependable blue hue we can alwasys rely on. Imbued with a deep resonance, Classic Blue provides an anchoring foundation. A boundless blue evocative of the vast amd infinite evening sky. Classic Blue encourages us to look beyond the obvious to expand our thinking; challenging us to think more deeply, increase our perspective and open the flow of communication." - Leatrice Eiseman, executive director of the Pantone colour institute.

This is such a beautiful sentiment that we at HLS Design believe to be so important. As we become more and more focused on technology we are losing touch with  ourselves. The calming properties that have always been associated with blue give us the perfect opportunity to find ourselves again in the comfort and peace of our own homes.

"I believe that great interior design should gel perfectly with your everyday life. Because of this I listen to what my clients say (and even what they don't) and I consider ergonomics, purpose and my clients’ style on every design, to create a room which truly reflects the individual and their needs."
